FAQs
Is it safe to get tattooed in Bali?
Yes. One Studio Tattoo follows strict professional hygiene practices. Disposable needles, gloves and protective coverings are used for every session, and all work areas are cleaned and disinfected between clients. Your safety is treated with the same care as the artwork.
Does it hurt?
For most people — yes, a little. The feeling is often compared to a sunburn. Pain levels depend on your body, the placement, and how long you’re in the chair.
Nyoman works calmly and will take breaks whenever you need them to keep you comfortable.
Can I use numbing cream?
Yes — you’re welcome to use numbing cream if you prefer. Let Nyoman know beforehand so he can advise on timing and application. In some cases, cream can slightly change how the skin behaves, so he’ll guide you on what will work best for your piece and placement.

What should I wear?
Wear something loose and comfortable with easy access to the area being tattooed. Privacy is always respected, and blankets are available if needed.
I want a tattoo — but don’t know where to start.
That’s totally fine. Message the studio with any ideas, images or inspiration you like.
If you’re thinking long term (sleeves, back pieces, large work), it’s worth planning ahead — Nyoman is happy to guide you.
When should I NOT get a tattoo?
Please do not come to your appointment if you are:
Drunk or high
Pregnant
Sunburned
Recently had surgery
Unwell or severely dehydrated
Unable to pay the agreed cost
Feeling pressured by someone else
A tattoo should always be your choice.
How does payment work?
A small deposit secures your booking.
For larger pieces, payment is usually made per session. Smaller pieces can be paid in full once finished.
What if I need to reschedule?
If you need to change your appointment, please give at least 48 hours notice so your deposit can be transferred. Repeated rescheduling may affect your deposit.
How long does healing take?
Most tattoos take 2–3 weeks to heal on the surface. Deeper healing can take a little longer depending on size and placement.
More questions?
